Sancha is a Coach and holds a Diploma of Professional Coaching from the Australian Institute of Professional Coaches. As a member of the International Coaching Federation she is committed to upholding the highest standards and ethics in her coaching practice and to pursuing continuing professional development. Currently Sancha is completing the Certified Physician Development Coach program in the USA.
Sancha is an anaesthetist working in public practice in Newcastle NSW with areas of clinical interest in gynae oncology, colorectal surgery and vascular angio. She is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and takes an active role as a member of several college committees and groups focusing on education development projects.
Through her experience as a Supervisor of Training for anaesthetic registrars, simulation instructor, teacher, wellbeing advocate and clinician-patient she discovered coaching as a way to bridge the gap between medical education and doctor wellbeing.
In her “spare time” Sancha is a mum to a tween and several dogs. Her “assistants” can often be heard snoring on Zoom calls. She is a Venturer Scout leader and enjoys outdoor activities.
Whilst Sancha specialises in coaching doctors, she has a wealth of experience working with individuals in high stress professions and welcomes a breadth of clients from all backgrounds. Her particular areas of expertise are around teamwork, communication, collegiality, imposterism feelings, work life balance, professional fulfillment and post graduate educational and exam success.
